Before you call us for backup, here are a couple of simple things you can try to rectify the problem on your own, or prevent disaster happening in the first place.

Reboot:  Often just restarting your computer can correct the problem. Click on the start menu, then shutdown and select restart.  If the problem re-occurs, call Kingsoft for support.

Adware & Spyware protection: The majority of call-outs Kingsoft respond to are caused by Adware and Spyware infection. The best way to prevent infection is to install any of the following products that scan, detect and remove infections from your PC (you can download them for free):

• Microsoft Windows Defender - click here
• Spybot Search and Destroy - click here
• Lavasoft Ad-Aware- click here

But be warned. Sneaky virus and ad/spyware programmers are constantly learning new tricks, so it’s not unusual for the above programs to fall short of complete removal. If your computer doesn’t return to normal then call Kingsoft the complete removal of all threats.
